Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was born into a mixed ethnic family. The father of her is Nigerian and Swiss, while her mom is English. She attended The Brit School when she was 14 years old. She pursued acting studies in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. The stage she appeared in was several productions as a student including King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. Since then, she has made guest appearances in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film role was in Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. In the wake of that film's success, she played Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as appearing in six episodes of Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi as the main character on ITV2's drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also played the main character on How to lose friends & betray people that was aired by Sony Pictures Entertainment back in 2008. Her stage credits include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009 with The dramatic The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes prior to being cancelled on The CW. In February 2011, she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe's departure from the series was officially announced in May of 2013. After a period of two years as the main character she was a guest in the first episode of season 3. The actress played Tituba on the television program Salem from 2014 to 2016. Madekwe and her boyfriend for many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. In addition to Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked in tandem on Salem and Iddo Goldberg had an appearance with her on that TV show.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. Four of her older brothers were present as well: twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's sports brothers played baseball in summer as well as hockey in winter. Ashley did not walk, but she danced, so at the age of two and a half she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley became passionate about dance immediately after that. Ashley continued to perform competitively throughout high school in top divisions such as ballet, tap, Jazz Pointe, Acrobatics, Pointe Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and much more. She was the top soloist in important competitions like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, were all awarded to Ashley.
