Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by an ethnically mixed family. Her father is Nigerian as well as Swiss, while her mom is English. She was born and raised in a council estate south of London. When she was fourteen, she was enrolled at The Brit School. In London, she studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was awarded. At the academy and performing in numerous stage productions, such as the King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career with the film Storm Damage. Since then, she's been making guest appearances in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film role was in Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. Her success has led her to be cast in Elisha in a single-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. She then appeared in the six-episode series Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. Madekwe played Bambi as Bambi in The ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a part of the comedy film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People. She was also in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path, composed by David Watson.
Madekwe had her official US debut in the 2009 drama The Beautiful Life, which only aired two episodes in the US on The CW before being cancelled. In February, she was cast 2011 in the role of Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe was a regular in the ABC drama series Revenge during two seasons. The show was announced in May 2013 that she'd leave the series after making one guest appearance on the initial season of the third. From 2014-2016, Madekwe starred in the role of Tituba the television series Salem. From June to July 2012, the actress got married to her long-time partner, actor Iddo Goldberg. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They have also appeared as a couple in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress is a member of a huge family in Hamilton, Ontario. Her four older brothers were also in the family and included twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley lived in stadiums or baseball fields because her brothers, who were all athletic, were hockey players, baseball players, and basketball in spring and summer. Ashley did not have the ability to walk. She danced. At just 2 1/2 years old when she was a little older, she joined Baby Ballet. It was then that she discovered Ashley's love for dancing. Ashley was a professional dancer across all major categories until the time she graduated from high school. The competitions she participated in included ballet, jazz, tap, pointe and Acrobatics. She was the top soloist in important competitions like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, were all awarded to Ashley.
