Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born South London, England into a family of mixed blood. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss while her mother was English. She was born and lived in a housing estate run by the council in the south of London. At the age 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She was a student of acting in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. While at school she appeared in numerous stage plays, such as King Henry V's princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her acting career with a film titled Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut came from her role in the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. She then appeared in Elisha on an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In her role, she also played Ollie in the six episodes from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in the year 2008 as Bambi. Madekwe starred as the lead character on How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others. The comedy that was released in the year 2008. A couple of her credits on stage are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her US debut with The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes at The CW, and was later removed from the air. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge as of February 2011. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series on ABC Revenge during two seasons. In May 2013 that she would quit the show after completing a guest episode in the very first episode of season three. The actress played Tituba in the program Salem between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe and her partner of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. They've collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also played a part with her on the TV series Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. Her four older brothers were present as well and included twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey in the winter as well as in the summer. She grew up in the arenas and baseball. Ashley could not walk but was able to dance. As a result, when she turned 2 She discovered Baby Ballet. That was the start of Ashley's passion for dance. Until she graduated from high school, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of tap, jazz, ballet and pointe as well as acrobatics, lyrical, musical theatre and hip-hop. She won the top individualist in all the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
