Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. The father of her is Nigerian and Swiss, while her mom is English. She was born in an estate in South London council estate, and at the age of 14, attended The Brit School. In London she attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was earned. She was on stage in many productions while attending school such as King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career through a short film called Storm Damage. Since then, she's been a guest star on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her breakthrough role came in 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was co-starring Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. Following that she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi as the main character in ITV2's show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also starred as the title character in How to lose friends & alienate people that was aired by Sony Pictures Entertainment back in 2008. Theatre credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe was a part of Ashley Davenport in the ABC show The Beautiful Life. The two-episode show aired only for two weeks on The CW and then it ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. The departure of Madekwe from the show was announced in May 2013. After a period of two years as the main character she appeared as a guest in the first episode of season 3. From 2014 to 2016she appeared in Salem on the CW as Tituba. Madekwe married her actor partner Iddo goldberg in June of 2012. They've collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl in the past, and Goldberg is also a part of the cast on the TV show Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into a big family. She was the daughter of Roy and Patty Leggat. The four brothers she had were also in the family and included twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley grew in arenas or baseball parks since her four athletic brothers all played baseball, hockey, and basketball in winter and summer. Ashley didn't walk, instead she was a dancer. At age two and half, she found Baby Ballet. Ashley fell in love with dance at this age. Ashley participated in the top divisions in jazz, tap ballet, hip hop, lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe until she graduated high school. All of the major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the title "top soloist".
