Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child, was born to the family of South London. Her father is Nigerian Swiss while her mother was English. She was born on the South London Council Estate. She attended The Brit School aged 14. She pursued acting studies in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. As a student at the academy was when she performed in various stage productions, such as King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. Since then she's made appearances in guest roles in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her first role in a film was in Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. Following this acclaim, she appeared as Elisha in the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as in six episodes Trexx and Flipside. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi, the lead role on ITV2's comedy Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also played the lead character in How to lose friends & alienate people that was aired by Sony Pictures Entertainment 2008. Her credits in theatre are Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe had her official US debut in the 2009 drama series The Beautiful Life, which just aired two episodes on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. The departure of Madekwe from the show was confirmed in May 2013. After two years as the main character she made a guest performance in the first episode of season 3. She starred as Tituba on the show Salem from 2014 to the year 2016. Madekwe was married to her long-time lover, Iddo. They've worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he had a role alongside her on the TV series Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for a Gemini Award, comes from the large Hamilton family. She was raised by the parents Roy and Patty along with four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley lived in stadiums or baseball fields because her brothers, who were all athletic, played hockey and baseball as well as both during winter and summer. Ashley was never able to walk, however she did dance. As she was two and a half, she took up Baby Ballet and fell in with. Ashley was captivated by dance when she was just a few years old. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions for jazz, tap hip-hop, ballet Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre and pointe until she graduated in high school. She won the top soloist at each of the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
