Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. Her father is a Nigerian-Swiss, while her mother was English. She was born in the South London community estate, as a teenager, she 14, attended The Brit School. In London she attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which her acting diploma was awarded. She performed in various stages during her high time at school, including the stage productions King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe got her start in acting with a film titled Storm Damage. She has since made appearances in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film role was Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. In the following year, she played Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. In the ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in 2008 playing Bambi. Madekwe was a part of the 2008 comedy feature film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People. The credits she has in her theatre work comprise Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams and Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe was chosen to play Ashley Davenport on ABC's drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode series aired for just the duration of two weeks The CW and then it ended. The actress was selected in February 2011, as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was revealed that Madekwe, who been a series regular in the previous two seasons had decided to quit the show with a guest appearance on the first episode of the new season. From 2014 to 2016, she starred in Salem as Tituba. Then, in June of 2012 Madekwe was married to her long-time love actor Iddo Goldberg. They collaborated in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played with her on Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress was raised in a large family in Hamilton, Ontario. Four of her older brothers were present as well: twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's siblings, who are all athletic, played baseball in summers and played hockey during winter. Ashley did not have the ability to actually walk. She was a dancer. When she reached two and a half, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley was enthralled by dance immediately after that. Ashley competed in top-level divisions for jazz, tap hip hop, ballet the lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe, until she finished high school. Ashley was awarded the top soloist prize at each major dance competition, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among some.
