Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was raised by an ethnically diverse family. She has a mother who is English and her father is Nigerian. Her family was raised in the south of a London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age fourteen. She graduated with a BA in acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She was on stage in many productions while attending school such as the role of King Henry V, as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her career as an actress through the film Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared as a guest on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut is her role in the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. Following that, she played Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi character on ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was the main character for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedy that was released in the year 2008. Her credits in the theatre are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe officially made her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The series aired only two episodes on The CW, and was later cancelled. In February of 2011 she was cast in the role of Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. After appearing on the show for the initial two seasons it was reported in late May 2013 that she would depart the series following a guest appearance in the first episode of the third season. Between 2014 and 2016, she starred in Salem on the CW as Tituba. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. Both have appeared in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played together in Salem.

Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. She joined her parents, Roy and Patty and four older brothers, Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley grew in arenas or baseball fields because the four brothers who were athletic played baseball, hockey, and both in the summer and winter. Ashley never actually walked -she was a dancer, and when she was 2 1/2 years old she started Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley was captivated by dancing at the age of. Ashley competed in top-level divisions for jazz, tap ballet, hip hop, the lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe until she graduated from high school. All of the major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the title "top soloist".
