Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began at 14 years old. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling prior to making her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd later went on to take down three opponents within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated were defeated within the first few minutes. Aspen returned to WCFC in order to defeat Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia defeated Aspen and beat her in a an unanimous vote to remove an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015 after signing to Invicta FC. Invicta 11 saw her slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and won via armbar submission in the second round. Aspen utilized the techniques she learned from wrestling to defeat McGill. She won the fight with a an KO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). The next fight was against Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 at catchweight(138.1lb) since Ladd missed weight despite this Aspen dominated Hoy and defeated her in the second round with a TKO. At Invicta FC21, she was the last bout in the organization. She defeated Sijara Ebanks by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound to pick up a second-round TKO victory. Then, in her third fight she beat Tonya Evinger even more impressively. Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the first round. She also received the bonus for performance of evening. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first match she's had in a major role. The two fights were one of the most competitive fights that Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. Both fighters were awarded their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her winning streak. In the third round of UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In a recent match replacement for UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight was lost by unanimous verdict.
